Greetings!

I am Florastine Mack, President of the Beta Mu Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ® and I welcome you to the official website for the eight chapter in the state of Texas (sixth graduate chapter) chartered on May 2, 1936. Thirteen courageous women came together and ignited the flame for what we now call thee “Blazing Beta Mu Omega Chapter!” And today, some ninety years later, with over two-seventy-five members, we are burning very brightly and intensely in the Fort Worth, Texas community and propelling Alpha Kappa Alpha higher and higher. Beta Mu Omega is the home of the late 14th South Central Regional Director, Deralyn Riles Davis. And we are also the proud sponsor of two undergraduate chapters: Kappa Lambda Chapter at Texas Christian University and the Upsilon Omicron Chapter at Tarleton StateUniversity.

As we reflect on our timeless service for over ninety years, we continue our legacy through our signatures programs of awarding scholarships to local students via the Raising the Standard Foundation, High Senior Recognition Program, providing books for local children with the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) Program, providing resources to the Lake Como Community of Hope – “Shower of Love” event, the girls mentoring program, Silhouettes and our stellar STEM program Girls’ Math and Science AKAdemy.
